Couples and Family Therapy

Couples Therapy

At times, couples who once walked the same path in happiness may find themselves drifting apart while balancing the challenges of everyday life. Dr. Bernasha helps couples find their way back to one another by creating space for each partner’s emotions and experiences.

Often, unresolved wounds from earlier in life can surface in romantic relationships, shaping how we respond to one another. With the support of therapy, couples can better understand how these past pains and triggers can influence their connection. Together, you’ll work on recognizing each other’s wounds, identifying triggers, and developing strategies to support one another when these challenges arise.

Dr. Bernasha also helps couples explore the roles they play within their relationship and guides them in aligning with the kind of partner they want to be. By strengthening communication and listening skills, couples can deepen their understanding of one another and rebuild a healthier, more fulfilling relationship.

Family Therapy

Dr. Bernasha provides family therapy for adults, creating a safe and supportive space where each member feels heard and seen. She empowers families to strengthen their communication skills and better understand one another’s experiences. Often, family members find themselves stuck in roles that may have been helpful in the past but no longer serve the family in its current stage of life. Dr. Bernasha helps individuals recognize these outdated roles and transition into healthier patterns that nurture growth and connection.

Using a strengths-based approach, she highlights the areas where families already thrive while also guiding them to identify and shift patterns that need improvement. Through this process, families deepen their connections, reduce conflict, and build stronger, healthier relationships. Her ultimate goal is to help families create positive dynamics, improve communication, ease stress within the family unit, and support one another in more meaningful ways.
